Event Details

Backed by the Hon. Prime Minister of India, who has pledged to triple India’s solar capacity to 175 GW by 2022; a huge market potential as India grows past 1.3 billion population mark with per capita energy needs ever increasing, the clean tech industry is growing by leaps and bounds. The top 10 PE deals in the sector in the last 5 years has been mega deals worth $100M+. A recent EY report pegs India as the second most attractive investment destination for renewable energy projects.

Clean tech, apart from its focus on renewable-clean energy alternatives (including but not limited to solar, wind, biomass, etc.), also include recycling, biofuels, and the like and are deemed to be superior if not competitive to their conventional counterparts. Since most of the clean tech start-up’s markets are sizeable in the rural and semi-urban markets, they also face the challenge of finding the right talent for leadership, hence the availability of field staff with knowledge about local language and culture and dependence on community buy-in for new products.

Internationally three trends – trash to treasure, alternative foods and waste water treatment combined with the power of IOT is set to chart new frontiers in clean tech.

Please note as per venue guidelines, men in 3/4ths or shorts and women in skirts above knee length will not be allowed to enter the premises.
