This September, Headstart Kochi is completing 4 years in Kochi as an ecosystem facilitator. In lieu of this, we are planning to conduct a special annual event titled Startup Saturday Kochi - Annual Conclave 2016 on 3rd September, 2016. This special event is curated with featured talks, panel discussions, a workshop & Annual startup awards.

Are you an emerging Startup with an amazing idea? Are you an established startup that has been growing year or year? Or maybe you’re a serial entrepreneur creating ventures out of thin air?
If you think your Startup idea is crazy enough to make an impact, then the Headstart Startup Awards 2016 are for you. We’re here to recognize your achievements, provide a platform to showcase your innovation and offer you support from our network.
We will be selecting the Top 5 Most Promising Startups from Kerala as the winners.
What are we looking for in the Top 5 Startups:
1. How is your idea influencing the society or making an impact in your target segment.
2. The financial viability of your startup being a success
3. The growth you have achieved within your operational time and space.
Rules, Regulations & More
1. Applying startups/entrepreneurs must have a registered/operational entity based out of Kerala
2. Startups must have been in operation for at least one year and should not have exceeded five years.
3. Nominations start on 17th August and end on 28th August. All nominations are to be submitted within that time frame.
4. The winners will be informed on the 30th of August, 2016 to be present at the event day to collect their awards.

Inaugural Address: K Muhammed Y Safirulla IAS, District Collector, Ernakulam
The new collector of Ernakulam, K. Mohammed Y. Safirulla, a 2010 batch IAS officer from Tamil Nadu, was director of Kerala State IT Mission, Deputy Secretary of IT Department and Project Director of E- Health Kerala. He will set the tone of the Conclave with his inaugural address and his thoughts on establishing Kochi as a more prominent Startup Hub.

Varun Chandran, Founder Corporate 360.
Varun Chandran is a home-brewed success story. Starting from scratch, and without the help of any external funding, he was able to create a business worth millions, In his keynote address, Varun will share secrets on how entrpreneurs need to build teams, the values you need to focus on for business grwoth and the importance of worklife balance.
